Melanie Bolch grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. She also worked as a gasoline trader and inventory manager at RaceTrac Petroleum, Incorporated.

Prior to Wharton, Ashley co-owned a corporate wellness company, Mindful Revolution, which provided yoga and other exercise alternatives in the workplace. She also worked as a management consultant for small businesses in central Texas and has extensive experience working in the travel, leisure, entertainment and media sectors.

In her spare time Ashley enjoys training for marathons, practicing yoga, travel, and origami. Sodany Sor is currently a second year student at Wharton majoring in Marketing and Operations.

She also worked at General Electric, marketing the launch of an internal professional networking site, where her interest in social media first developed. Shruti Chandrasekhar is a first year MBA student majoring in entrepreneurial management and marketing. Prior to Wharton, astra zeneca and nexium and antitrust, Shruti worked at the World Bank in their private sector arm making investments in private equity and investment funds across Asia, Africa and Central America for four years.

She also has experience in consulting with Oliver Wyman and sales and trading at Barclays Capital. Concurrent to her full-time work, since Alexis has worked in program development for a non-profit leadership development program for disadvantaged youth called the Alexander Hamilton Friends Association. For Hamilton Friends, Astra zeneca and nexium and antitrust initiated a mentorship program and she teaches a seminar on emotional intelligence and workplace ethics annually in New York City.

Alexis earned her B. Most recently she spent three and a half years at Room to Read, an international non-profit dedicated to providing educational resources to children in the developing world.

Phyllis Liu is a 1 st year student at Wharton. Prior to Wharton, Phyllis worked at Norwest Venture Partners, where she evaluated investment opportunities in digital media, internet, and software services. Before joining Norwest, Phyllis worked in technology investment banking at Morgan Stanley.

Phyllis graduated with high honors and high distinction with degrees in Economics and Business Administration from UC Berkeley. Krishna is a 1 st year MBA student at Wharton. Before Wharton, Krishna worked at Coach, diabetes insipidus and symptoms luxury leather goods retailer.

During her three years with the company, Krishna worked with the Consumer Insights and Strategy team where she focused on a variety projects, including market research and international growth opportunities. Krishna graduated from the Stephen M. Prior to Wharton, Ali worked in Real Estate Capital Markets at Barclays Capital where she focused on commercial real estate lending and asset management.

Tessa is currently a first year MBA student at Wharton and is pursuing a dual major in real estate and finance. Prior to Wharton, she worked at Revstone Industries, an industrial buyout firm, as a Vice President in its corporate finance group. She started her career at Lehman Brothers where she worked in the Investment Management Division with a focus on real estate clients, astra zeneca and nexium and antitrust.

Prior to Wharton, Ashley spent four years as a consultant for Sapient Corporation in the Washington, DC office, where she worked on technology and strategy projects in support of public sector clients. Lisa Alexander is a second year at Wharton majoring in finance, astra zeneca and nexium and antitrust.

Prior to Wharton, she worked as a healthcare policy research analyst at Marwood Group in New York and received her bachelors degree in Political Science from Yale University in Prior to Wharton, Liai was a Consultant at Oliver Wyman where she worked on a broad range of business development and strategy projects in media and retail. Daisy graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University in with a B. Kristine is a 1 st year student at Wharton, majoring in Marketing and Strategic Management. On top of the Wharton Women in Business club, she also intends to play an active role in the Consulting, Marketing and Sailing clubs.

Before starting at Wharton she spent three years working in strategic planning and product management at American Express. Katharine graduated from Harvard University with a B. Prior to business school, she worked for 3 years at American Express in marketing at their headquarters in New York City, starting out in the small business division and most recently working in the consumer card group.

Becky graduated from Harvard College in with an A. Prior to business school, astra zeneca and nexium and antitrust worked for over three years for the Risk Analytics Department at Banco Mercantil, one of the largest financial institutions in Venezuela. There, Marcela worked building statistical models to assess the main risks that the bank faced, specifically in the area of Credit Risk for Personal Banking products.

She enjoys reading, watching movies and trekking, and was a participant of the Cotopaxi and Quantico Leadership Ventures during her first year. Srinidhi graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelors in Economics and subsequently worked at Goldman Sachs in Private Wealth Management for three years prior to attending Astra zeneca and nexium and antitrust. In her first year, she was also actively involved with the Consulting Conference and the Wharton India Economic Forum.

Plern is an operations coordinator for the Wharton Women in Business Conference, astra zeneca and nexium and antitrust, overseeing space logistics and set up implementation.

Plern has had experience in the finance and retail sectors, having worked in mortgage securitization at Credit Suisse and most recently in merchandise planning at Saks Fifth Avenue. Plern is active in the non-profit arena, having served as a co-chair of Mentoring Programs for the Inner City Scholarship Fund, a New York based non-profit organization.

She hopes to continue her involvement with community service activities at Wharton. Prior to coming to business school, she worked in the alternative investments group at Merrill Lynch.

Prior to Wharton, Shuchi worked in India, where she founded a start-up retail brand called Blue Banyan, which focused on promoting products made by rural artisans.

She continues to work on her company during her time at Wharton. Soumya is a first year MBA candidate at Wharton. Prior to business school, she was working at Accenture on custom software development for telecommunications sector in South East Asia. Born and brought up in India, she moved to Singapore to pursue her higher studies on full-ride scholarships.

She was deeply involved in Toastmasters and the Trade Union movement in Singapore. She intends to be equally involved with several organizations at Wharton as well. In her spare time, Soumya enjoys landscape painting, practicing yoga, travelling and cooking. She previously worked at a Singapore-based Private Equity firm in Jakarta, Indonesia where she was part of the deal team. During the 2 years there, she was primarily involved in marine logistics, agriculture and telecom industries.

Prior to Wharton, Susan spent four years in the investment banking team at Goldman Sachs. Prior to Wharton, Roberta worked in equity research covering the consumer, technology, and telecommunications industries.

Before that she was an investment banker covering the consumer and technology industries. She enjoys all sports and is currently a member of the soccer team, as well as actively training with the boxing club.

Most recently, Jane worked as an investment analyst in Global Equities at Citadel Investment Group in Tokyo where she invested in Japanese real estate stocks.

Jane is passionate about empowering women in the workplace and wants to work further to realize this goal at Wharton. Michelle is deeply committed to community service, international travel, and business development. She is of Indian origin but grew up in Nigeria.

After completing two years in the industry, she joined the Corporate Strategy group at Visa San Francisco, specializing in Pricing Strategy. Lauren is a first year student at Wharton, planning to major in Marketing and Operations Management. During her time at UBS, Lauren spent diabetes and blood sugar count months working on secondment in the strategy team at Birds Eye Iglo Group, a leading European frozen foods manufacturer, where she worked closely with executives across business functions to develop a business plan for the Company.

Lauren graduated from Harvard College in with an A. She is from New York City and enjoys golf, yoga, pilates and cooking.

Before coming to Wharton, she spent 3 years in mergers and acquisitions advisory in the investment banking group of Duff and Phelps. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and spent the past year on the management team of Tegu, a social enterprise start-up based in Connecticut and Honduras.

There, she marketed best practice research to hospital executives across the country, specializing in the clinical service lines, astra zeneca and nexium and antitrust. Sarah graduated from Duke University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Spanish in Prior to Wharton, Elizabeth worked for four years as an analyst at Cornerstone Research, an economic consulting firm, where she specialized in antitrust and securities casework.
